Sherriff Joe Arpaio thanked President Trump in a Tweet. He wrote that he was thankful for the pardon. He also added that his conviction was a political witch hunt from the Obamas. Lacey and Larkin
Sherriff Joe Arpaio arrested Lacey and Larkin in August. The arrest was based on the articles they wrote to highlight Joe’s sins. The duo was driven to the Maricopa Police Station in the night. They engaged in a long, legal battle that saw the pair being compensated for the damage. Apparently, they were innocent.
The ruling stated that Sherriff Joe Arpaio was unfair to his critics given his history to demolish people’s reputation by intimidation.
Larkin and Lacey earned $3.75 million as compensation. They formed the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund to save the money for immigrants and the less fortunate in Arizona. The duo has since been working to support not-for-profit organizations through donations. The organizations support the right of Latinos as well as Hispanics.

Now that Sherriff Joe Arpaio has been pardoned by President Trump, Lacey and Larkin have been on the front of the case. They are disappointed by the fact that the president is upholding injustice. Lacey said that Trump is promoting evil in the society. Even though Joe will not be jailed, the Frontera Fund will cater for the community by fixing the damage that he caused.
